G’zell raised £5,070 on Crowdfunder to scale their urban streetwear business.
Kaylighe, founder of G’zell took part in our 8 week crowdfunding accelerator delivered by Business Launchpad. Business Launchpad offer our course for free to young entrepreneurs in London aged 16-30.
Kaylighe created G’Zell back in 2013 and has been working on it alone since then. She has had stalls in London’s famous Bricklane market and Camden market and has even been featured on the catwalk. G’zell offered a range of rewards from face masks (topical) to tie-dye t shirts and some pieces from the upcoming 2021 collection.
As well as hitting their crowdfunding target, G’zell also won a competition set up by Business Launchpad where the entrepreneurs who were crowdfunding could win extra funding by bringing in the most votes. Kaylighe cleverly used Instagram to connect with her audience and bring in her backers. She also kept her existing backers updating by using the updates function on Crowdfunder.
