You have either stumbled across this crowdfunding consultancy website randomly, or you have been carefully directed here through some marketing tactic – #sorrynotsorry. However, the fact of the matter is, you are here and probably thinking about crowdfunding.

You may be wondering what it is? Or maybe you know what it is but wonder whether it is right for you? This post aims to help you out a bit.

Firstly, here is a definition:
Put in a more easily digestible way, specific to you, crowdfunding needs you to consider 3 things?

  1. What do you want to raise money for?
  2. How much do you want to raise?
  3. How many days do we have to do it?

Here are some example projects I have worked on:

  • Raise £7,000 to empower and educate 16 Zimbabwean children in 40 days
  • Raise £10,000 to fund a designer for BehindBras in 8 days
  • Raise £20,000 to fund a specialist nurse for a year, for Neuro Foundation in 35 days

Crowdfunding works best on specific projects that your audience can visualise, comprehend and see come to life with their help. Core funding, for example, does not work well as a crowdfunding campaign, as it is not specific, it is an ongoing expense, backers can not easily see the difference they are making and let’s be honest it’s just not something sexy to stand behind.

Thinking about your own work now, does your project fit with crowdfunding?

If yes, visit our services section and let’s see how we can work together to bring your 2017 dreams into reality.
